Thomasville Police Department

Thomasville Police Department This page is to promote interaction between the community and the Police Department. That being said, this is not the place to report crime.

This is the official page for the Thomasville Police Department (Georgia). We created this page to increase communication with the Thomasville citizens and community. To report a crime, contact Dispatch at 229-226-2101. If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1! The Thomasville Police Department was excited to welcome the Thomasville Youth Council for a tour of our department!

During their visit, Chief Wade Glover had the opportunity to speak with the students, share more about the role of law enforcement, and discuss the importance of leadership, service, and building strong relationships within our community.

We are always proud to welcome our young leaders and give them an inside look at the people and work behind the badge. Thank you to the Youth Council for spending time with us! 💙

Please be advised that the traffic lights at Smith Avenue and Dawson Street will be out of service on Wednesday, August 26, from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM while replacement work is completed.

During this time, traffic on Smith Avenue should flow freely, and motorists should treat the Dawson Street crossing at Smith Avenue as a stop sign.

A law enforcement unit will be on scene to assist with traffic flow and safety. Please use caution, slow down, and follow directions from officers in the area.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this work is completed. 🚔

The Thomasville Police Department would like to recognize our incredible firefighters, EMTs, and emergency response partners for taking the time to visit our schools for scheduled safety tours and preparedness training.

These visits are an important part of making sure our first responders know our campuses, understand how to navigate them, and can work seamlessly alongside school administrators and our School Resource Officers should an emergency ever occur.

We prepare together. We respond together. We protect our community together. 🐾
