As we kick off National EMS Week, we want to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the true heart and soul of our department: our incredible volunteers and paid personnel.
​When the tones go out, it doesn’t matter if it’s 2:00 AM on a freezing Tuesday or right in the middle of a Sunday family dinner. These dedicated individuals answer the call. They step away from their comfort, their sleep, and their loved ones to run toward someone else’s worst day.
​What makes their dedication truly remarkable is that they choose to do this. They donate their time, their energy, and their professional skills purely out of a desire to protect and serve our community. That kind of selflessness is rare, and it is invaluable.

Last night at 1159 Thompson Fire and EMS would be dispatched to assist Susquehanna Fire Department on a second alarm structure fire the rescue engine, pumper tanker, and A1 would respond. The pumper tanker would be returned shortly after going enroute. The rescue engine crew helped with over haul and clean up, while A1 assist Susquehanna EMS with rehab. While responding to this call our second ambulance would be dispatched for an EMS call and would respond and handle that call.
