TRASH AMNESTY DAY
Saturday, October 17th 8am - Noon
In the City you may drop off at Bernice Brown Park, Martin Luther King, Jr Street and West Hill Street near Regions Bank in the parking lot next door. You cannot bring tires, waste oil, antifreeze or any other items not normally allowed.
The McDuffie County Landfill will be open for County residents.

The City Work Session scheduled for today, Tuesday, September 8th at 5:00pm has been postponed until 5:00pm Thursday, September 10th immediately preceding the City Council Monthly meeting .

The City of Thomson will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7th. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00am.
As usual when the governments are closed, the Thomson Police Department and all County First Responders will be working to keep you safe. Please tell them thank you when you see them.

For GAS EMERGENCIES:
Everyone should leave the area of the gas leak.
Do not turn any phones, lights or electronics off or on, they may cause a spark. When everyone is safely away from the leak,
call 706-962-2364.
DO NOT go back to the area of the leak until given the all clear.

For EMERGENCIES concerning Water and Sewer Distribution, the number to call is 706-962-2742.

For all other True Emergencies, 911 operators will be at work if you need them.

Waste Management will be closed Monday for Labor Day, so all of the City of Thomson will have their garbage service delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday on Wednesday and all the way to Friday pickup on Saturday.
Don't forget to roll your garbage can to the curb the night before. It always seems like they start their route early when they've been off a day!
Please spread the word to others who live or have businesses in the City.
