The Thornton Public Library is kicking off summer with our Toddler Story Time every Thursday morning at 9:30. Come stop in and find out about the New Hampshire Downloadable Books through the library. We also have discounted passes for patrons that include N.H. State Parks, N.H. Historical Society Museum, Castle in the Clouds, and the Squam Lake Science Center. Exciting things are on the way so keep checking back! We are also wheelchair accessible.

Friendly reminder that we will be closed this Friday, so there will be no story time this week. But join us next week for the first event of our Summer Reading Program, a T-Rex Tea Party! We will stomp, chomp, and roar with dino treats, games, and crafts!

“Libraries are Sanctuaries“…. As I get ready to retire as director of the Thornton Public Library, I wish to express my gratitude for the opportunity to provide this community with a variety of services. I have enjoyed working with the trustees and staff and appreciate their guidance in navigating the various aspects of library service. I am also grateful for our Friends group who gladly adopted my suggestions and took over the book sale, trunk decorating and open house . We truly “are a village” . Let’s keep our libraries accessible and vibrant parts of our communities.
