Lacing up for a great cause! Get those sneakers ready for our annual sprint. This is our main school fundraiser for the school year. This is how we fund things such as the bounce castles at Field Day and Kona Ice. We also use this money to host some of our family events and other incentives for students throughout the school year. We also use some of this funding for fun staff incentives during the school year. The Fun Run Packet was sent home with students at the beginning of the week. Please pay close attention as the deadline for raising funds is approaching quickly. In order to qualify for a 2026 Fun Run shirt, your child's minimum $30 fundraiser money must be turned in by 8/26. There are no exceptions to this date as we must turn our shirt order into the vendor to get shirts on time. We are excited about the new design on our shirts that are bright green with Raz running!

Dear Families,
Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not going to cooperate with us to have Field Day outside on Tuesday. However, Mr. Yoshihara has developed a fun indoor alternative so the students can still have lots of fun inside the gym. Because we have to move the festivities inside, we do not have room for parents and family members to attend. Our gym is only large enough to accommodate the students and staff when we have activities going on. We will make sure to take lots of pictures that will be posted on our classroom and our school Appetegy and our Riverdale page. We know this may feel a little disappointing, but we are planning to really build it up for students and make it super fun for them!

FIELD DAY UPDATE:

Dear Families,
Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating for our scheduled Field Day on Monday, May 18th so we are planning to move Field Day to Tuesday, May 19th.
The times for Field Day will be exactly the same as previously published:
3rd, 4th and 5th grades will be: 9:00 - 10:30
Kinder, 1st, and 2nd: 12:15 - 1:45
If you are planning to attend, we will ask that parents go directly to the areas outside or in the gym rather than checking into the front office. This helps our office not get overwhelmed with parent check-ins. Also, when attending Field Day, we ask that parents not enter any areas of the building except the rotation that will take place in the gym. If you need to use the restroom, we ask that you use the restrooms inside the gym.

One hour delay today! Breakfast will still be served starting at 8:30am. Tardy bell will ring at 8:50am. AM preschool will start one hour later at 8:40am but PM preschool will be normal operating times. Stay warm!!
