Quist Middle School Is Rising!
From Improvement to Performance in One Incredible Year
Dear Quist Families and Community,
We have some BIG news to celebrate!
According to our preliminary 2026 Colorado School Performance Framework results, Quist Middle School has moved from an Improvement Plan school to a Performance Plan school.
And the numbers tell an incredible story.
📈 48.3 → 69.5
Last year, Quist earned an SPF score of 48.3.
This year, our score jumped to 69.5.
That is a 21.2-point increase in just one year!
But what makes us most proud is that this improvement is happening across the school.
Our students are achieving more.
Our Academic Achievement score increased from 45.8% to 63.9%.
Our Academic Growth score increased from 50.0% to 73.2%.
Even more exciting, ELA, Math, and Science all moved from “Approaching” to “Meets.”
That means our students are not only learning more. They are growing at a faster rate.
Our students are growing!
In ELA, our growth moved from the 43rd percentile to the 62nd percentile.
In Math, growth moved from the 46th percentile to the 57th percentile.
And we are especially proud of the progress our Multilingual Learners are making. This group moved from Does Not Meet to Approaching in achievement in ELA, Math, and Science.
That kind of progress matters because behind every number is a student who is learning, growing, and working hard.
So, what does this really mean?
For our families, it means that the work happening every day inside Quist classrooms is making a difference.
It means teachers are finding ways to engage students, challenge their thinking, build strong relationships, and help students grow.
It means our students are showing up, leaning in, and doing the hard work of learning.
It means our families are partnering with us.
And it means our entire Quist community is moving in the same direction.
Up.

This year’s results are evidence of that belief in action.
To our students: We are incredibly proud of you.
To our teachers and staff: Thank you for believing in every student and refusing to settle for anything less than their best.

We are going to celebrate this moment because it matters.
But we also know that 69.5 is not the destination.
It is our launch point.
We have more students to reach, more growth to create, and more potential to unlock.
