Today we had the opportunity to participate in the Washington Emergency Communications Coordination Working Group (WECCWG) quarterly virtual meeting. It was a great opportunity to learn what agencies and organizations are doing around the state, and hear some lessons learned following the World Cup.

Practice today includes station set up, remote HF operation, and passing of voice and data radio traffic between us, the State Emergency Operations Center and other neighboring jurisdictions. During a training and testing session of our equipment at the Kittitas Valley Healthcare hospital, we also had the opportunity to further our relationship with the leadership at the hospital. We demonstrated voice and data communication using radio equipment that is prepositioned for us.
