Natalbany Middle School is fortunate to have a leader like Principal Darlene Hammer. For many years, she has been a consistent and dedicated presence at NMS, always putting students first.

Mrs. Hammer believes in educating the whole child. She takes the time to truly know her students, understand their needs, celebrate their successes, and support them through challenges. Rarely will you find her sitting behind a desk in the office. Instead, she is in the hallways with her cart, visiting classrooms, checking on students and staff, and building relationships throughout the school community.

Whether it means teaching a class when needed, lending a helping hand, offering encouragement, or providing guidance, there is very little Mrs. Hammer will not do for a child. She leads with both compassion and firmness, creating an environment where students feel supported, valued, and held to high expectations.

Her dedication, work ethic, and servant leadership are an example to current and future educators of what it truly means to be present for students. Natalbany Middle School is stronger because of her commitment, heart, and belief in the potential of every child.

At Natalbany Middle School, we are blessed to have amazing people who make a difference every day, and Ms. Cynthia is certainly one of them!

Ms. Cynthia goes above and beyond to serve our school community. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and positive attitude shine through in everything she does. She builds meaningful relationships with students and coworkers alike, always treating everyone with kindness, respect, and compassion.

Pictured with Christian Easley, Ms. Cynthia has made a lasting impact through the time she has spent encouraging, teaching, and supporting him. The special bond they share is a wonderful example of the care and dedication she brings to our campus each day.

Whether she's helping a student, lending a hand to a colleague, or simply brightening someone's day with her smile, Ms. Cynthia leads by example and reminds us all of the power of kindness.

Natalbany Middle School educators are always learning! 💚💛🦅

Principal Darlene Hammer and several NMS teachers recently attended the Teacher Leader Summit, joining educators from across Louisiana to learn, collaborate, and gather new ideas to bring back to our school community.

Professional learning opportunities like this help us continue growing as educators so we can provide the very best for our students. We are excited for another year of inspiring, engaging, and empowering our Eagles!
