🚌Earlier this month, SCOC Aktion Club voted once again to donate to the Stuff the Bus campaign with the United Way of North Central Ohio. Their donation will help provide much needed school supplies for local children! SCOC Aktion Clubber Sam, also volunteered at their Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive. 🖍📚


🧡💙SCOC Aktion Club is a branch of the Tiffin Kiwanis Club for adults with disabilities. Members develop leadership skills while giving back to their communities through service. 🧡💙

Advocacy is more than speaking up—it’s making sure your voice is heard where decisions are made! Todays NW OSDA (Ohio Self-Determination Association) training at Tiffin University was all about voting and legislative advocacy! The Sandusky and Seneca County Board of Elections presented about the voting process, accessible ballots and how to register to vote. The afternoon session was just as fun with Jake Dowling, Legislative Affairs Manager from the Ohio Association of County Boards of DD. His engaging discussion about legislative advocacy and building relationships with legislators made for a fun and informative afternoon. A huge thank you to Tiffin University for hosting NW OSDA!

👫The Opportunity Center’s Afterhours group enjoyed a night of food, friends, and fishing on Thursday evening. They had a fun evening fishing at Isaac Walton and feasting at Burger King. Thank you to the Isaac Walton group for hosting our fishing fund throughout the summer. Everyone had an outstanding time.

🚨 EVENT UPDATE 🚨

Due to the weather forecast, Kickin’ Down Barriers Day is moving indoors tomorrow.

The event will still begin at 7 p.m., but will now take place in the Turf Room at the Heminger Center. Check-in will be in the lobby.

We invite the Tiffin community and TU family to join us tomorrow, cheer on our participants and help make this a special evening.

💚🐉We can't wait for this year's KICKIN' DOWN BARRIERS DAY - a Unified Football Skills and Cheer Day with the Tiffin University Dragons Football & Cheer Teams! Tiffin University would like you to be a part of this fun-filled Dragon Football event! 🏈📣
💚🐉Participants ages 6 and up will have the chance to either play football or cheer on those playing with the TU team. The athletes will have a chance to run or catch a touchdown against a mock defense. Athletes will also be paired up with a Dragon Buddy, a Tiffin football player or cheerleader, who will serve as their mentor throughout the experience.
