Yesterday, the Seneca Friendship Club received a lesson on Internet Safety from Detective Erik England of the Tiffin Police Department (Ohio). We learned about avoiding scams, catfishing, and sextortion while staying safe online. Detective England was accompanied by his new partner, Madison. Madison is an electronics K9 who can pinpoint the location of any electronic device. We even got to see a demonstration of her abilities. Thank you to Detective England and K9 Madison for coming to teach us!

We had an unbeLEAFable time today at the Tiffin University Nature Preserve! 🌿 Huge thanks to Seneca Parks and our guides, Meredith and Elliot, for teaching us the ropes of plant identification. We spent the afternoon pulling garlic mustard to help protect our local ecosystem from invasive species. It’s hard work, but someone’s gotta do it! 🧤✨

Last Thursday, the Seneca Friendship Club took a trip to Clary Boulee McDonald Nature Preserve to learn about the environment and other cool things surrounding the park and the beautiful nature. We then stopped for some ice cream 🍨 afterwards before we went back to the church for pickup for the night.

The Seneca Friendship Club took a historic trip down to the Ritz Theatre in downtown Tiffin for a tour and I want to give a thank you to the tour guide who walked us through the building. It was both very fun and educational. I would totally do it again in the future if the opportunity comes up again. Some of the members did this exact tour like, five years ago when friendship club was still starting. In a way, it was a historical moment!

Last night, the Seneca Friendship Club hung out at the church for the evening and Melissa Mellott brought in Cooper, who is a facility dog for Tiffin City Schools, and she gave us a lesson about how Cooper was trained into becoming a therapy dog for the school system.

Yesterday, the Seneca Friendship Club had a little Easter🐣 celebration at Little Faith Ministries with our member, Hayle Barth, as the host. We colored a lot of eggs with food dye and had some pizza and drinks that were provided by Dominic Co***lo followed by dessert that was provided by both Dominic and Hayle. It was a great night of fun and laughter! 😂

Earlier tonight, the Seneca Friendship Club all participated in a fun activity where a teacher came in and we each wrote a letter to her middle school students as a pen pal project, something that some of us members did during our school years many years ago. It was pretty fun! 🤩
