Tigard Youth Advisory Council Get information about Movie Under the Stars, meetings and other events!! All proceeds from the Movie Under the Stars benefits this program.

Tigard Youth Advisory Council organizes different events in the city of Tigard to bring the community together. Some events we have done in the past are helping at the Good Neighbor Center, help kids go christmas shopping, volunteer at the Humane society and every summer we organize Movie Under the Stars. Movie Under the Stars takes place at Durham Elementary School in TIgard and helps the Back Pa

ck Program. The Back Pack Program gives kids in Tigard food on non-school days who would otherwise not have any.

hey everyone! For Tigards MLK weekend of service, TYAC is hosting a street cleanup! It’ll be held on Sunday, January 15th from 3-5 pm on Main Street! We’re excited to see all the volunteers! Wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a Buddy to work with! We will provide tools and trash bags! Hope to see you there!

TYAC worked with the good neighbor center to host a trunk-or-treat! We had some amazing participation and costumes this year, however we did host an internal competition. Out of the four themes, Candy land, Halloween, mad lab, and Indians Jones, the winner was Indians Jones! Let us know in the comments which one was the best!

Hey tigard community! The Tigard Youth Advisory is working on hosting a used book drive to donate to the School House Supplies in Portland! (this is a group that works on providing school supplies to teachers and students that are in need). We are working on collecting books on November 13th, 2-6pm in front of city hall. If you have book donations that you would like to donate before the date please contact us!
