Beliefs

Teaching and Learning create the foundation for success. A school is most effective when it fosters acceptance of diversity, promotes individual strengths, and generates respect for everyone. Positive relationships cultivate mutual respect between students and staff and help to build a school climate conducive to learning. High expectations for students and staff will ensure that all students will learn and feel successful. Students learn best when provided a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles. The ability to locate and utilize information through the use of creative and critical thinking, including the integration of technology, enhances student success. Learning is a lifelong process.

Wildcat Families,

Today, one of our students at Rabun County Primary School experienced a medical emergency involving a fractured bone. After local emergency personnel assessed the situation, a decision was made to transport the student by air ambulance to ensure the student received the quickest possible medical care and treatment.

Due to the end-of-year festivities and the large number of families and visitors on campus today, many people may have noticed the medical helicopter landing at the school.

We appreciate the prompt response of emergency personnel and the support of our staff during the situation. Please keep the student and family in your thoughts.

Due to inclement weather forecast to impact Rabun County High School all afternoon and well into the evening, tonight’s graduation ceremony will be held in the RCHS Gym at 8:00 PM.

Each graduate will be provided eight (8) tickets for tonight’s ceremony, and guests will be required to present their ticket for admission. Ticketed guests will be able to enter the gym between 6:30 PM and 7:15 PM, and doors will open to non-ticketed guests at 7:15 PM. Once ticketed guests arrive, re-entry will not be permitted.

Parking behind the gym will be limited to RCHS faculty and staff.

Due to the expected crowd in attendance, we kindly ask that children remain seated with their parents at all times.

Once capacity in the gym is reached, overflow seating will be available in the Fine Arts Building, where guests can view the event via our livestream. A link to the livestream will be available on our website and social media.

We are excited to celebrate all of our graduates tonight, regardless of the weather, and we will make every effort to create a memorable experience for our graduates and their families!

It’s one of our favorite end of the year traditions when the seniors walk the halls of RCPS, RCES, and RCMS one last time!

These seniors were the first kindergarteners at RCPS!
