Yesterday McMullen County Emergency Management, McMullen County Volunteer Fire Dept., McMullen County Agrilife, and American Red Cross, came together to deliver disaster relief supplies to our community and families that were effected by the flood waters. The supplies included clean up kits, gloves, flashlights, batteries, rakes, shovels, masks, hand sanitizer, totes, garbage bags, and cases of bottled water. Thank you to everyone involved, it so great to see our community come together and take care of each other.

The Frio River at Tilden has crested just below 30 feet and will gradually fall over the next several days. The river is expected to fall below major flood stage early Friday and below flood stage late in the weekend.

McMullen County Residents,
We have officially pasted the peak of the rise in the Frio River. It crested at just shy of 30 ft almost the same level as the 2002 flood. It looks like the water in town will sit here for a day or two before we really see the water recede.
