Today we want to recognize a moment of transition- and to express our deepest gratitude.
To Chief Dave Goettl thank you for the last 24 ½ years of outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to this department. Your commitment to this department, and your tireless support to our community have left a lasting impact that words alone can’t capture.
You have been a steady guide through countless calls and challenges, always putting the safety of others and the growths of this department first. We’ve seen your leadership shape not just the department, but the people in it- training, mentoring, and inspiring a new generation of firefighters and first responders. Your commitment, strength and presence has helped shape this department into what it is today.
While you may be stepping down as chief, we are truly grateful that you’re not stepping away, staying on as part of this department means we still get to benefit from your experience, guidance, and passion.
As you pass the torch, we warmly welcome the new chief Kelsey Anderson into this role. The boots to fill are big, but we have full confidence in your ability to fill these boot and lead with the same strength, integrity, and passion.
THANK YOU, Dave Goettl, for your legacy of service and WELCOME Kelsey Anderson as you take on this new chapter in leading the department.
