Lead Tour Guide Position available!
Seasonal – May 1st to October 31st
Thursday through Monday, 9:30-12:00 OR 9:30-4:00
$20/hr + tips!

The Lead Tour Guide is responsible for coordinating and leading guided rail bike tours. This position ensures safe use of pedaled rail cars, oversees the customer experience, and maintains equipment before and during operation.

Duties:

- Receive and review daily reservation lists.
- Coordinate with the railroad to ensure safe operations on the track before each run.
- Lead each tour and oversee all customers, equipment, and safety procedures
- Enforce all rules and regulations required by both the employer and the railroad.
- Provide high quality customer service and respond to customer questions, including local area recommendations for activities and dining.
- Inspect rail bikes for proper operation and safety before each trip…more duties listed in job post.

Support Job Seekers: Meet one-on-one with Oregonians to assess their transferable skills, interests, and employment goals.

Connect to Resources: Provide referrals and access to services such as STEP support, work experience opportunities, GED/high school completion programs, training, and community-based resources.

Break Down Barriers: Help identify and address obstacles to employment, offering solutions and support to overcome them.

Track Progress: Use program data systems to monitor activities, attendance, and outcomes to ensure success
