HELPING HANDS
Tillamook Kindness Citations

Today we want to recognize some outstanding members of the Tillamook community for their kindness and willingness to step up when it matters most.

Bob, Kevin, Martin, Jay, and Colby were each issued Kindness Citations after being caught by Tillamook Police Chief Troxel moving bleachers to help ensure they had adequate seating as Tillamook hosts the State Quarterfinals baseball game.

This is what makes Tillamook such a special place — a community that comes together to support one another and make great things happen behind the scenes. These gentlemen consistently go above and beyond to make sure the logistical needs of their schools and community are met, not just during big events like this, but all throughout the year.

The Tillamook School District grounds crew and maintenance staff are appreciated beyond measure, and today we are proud to recognize their hard work and dedication.

Thank you all for everything you do. Good work and Go Cheesemakers! Keep impacting your community one kind act at a time!

GIVING BACK
Kindness Citation TPD-00193

The Werner name is well known in Tillamook—and so is the generosity behind it. Founded in 1994, Werner Gourmet Meat Snacks began as a small, home-based beef jerky operation on the Oregon Coast. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to quality, it has grown into a thriving Tillamook business—while staying true to its roots of authentic flavor and high standards.

From supporting National Night Out, Every 15 Minutes, Tillamook Sports, to purchasing 4-H and FFA animals at the County Fair, and even stepping in to keep the community dunk tank alive, Ken Werner and the Werner family continue to show what it means to give back.

Ken’s long-standing support of the Tillamook Police Department, the City of Tillamook, and our entire county has made a lasting impact that does not go unnoticed. On behalf of the Tillamook Police Department, Chief Troxel was honored to recognize Ken Werner with a Kindness Citation for his continued contributions to our community.

Thank you, Ken, for helping make Tillamook a better place. Keep impacting your community one kind act at a time!

LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Kindness Citation TPD-00194

Chief Malloy has a long and distinguished history of interagency cooperation and collaboration, consistently demonstrating what strong partnerships in law enforcement should look like. Today, while assisting the team, Chief Malloy went above and beyond by treating everyone to a pizza lunch—an act that was greatly appreciated by all.

This simple gesture reflects the kind of leadership that builds morale, strengthens relationships, and sets a positive example for others. Chief Troxel and the Tillamook Police Department is proud to recognize Chief Jason Malloy of the Newport Police Department with a Kindness Citation. WHEN IT MATTERS
Kindness Citation TPD-00185

Chief Troxel is honored to recognize and thank Josh Longenecker, Regional Director – Pacific Northwest, with the Critical Response Group, by presenting him with a Kindness Citation.

Director Longenecker has been an instrumental partner to the Tillamook School District and our public safety community. Through this collaboration, we have implemented systems that enhance rapid response to critical incidents within our schools. During a recent tabletop exercise, Chief Troxel presented this Kindness Citation as a small token of their appreciation for his continued support and dedication.
