The Tillamook Police Department worked alongside the Oregon Department of Justice, and the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, to execute a search warrant at Pearl Massage on North Main Avenue in Tillamook. This action followed several months of investigation and surveillance into suspected illicit activity and is part of a broader effort to disrupt organized, multi-jurisdictional criminal activity.
Illicit massage businesses can be associated with prostitution, human trafficking, and the exploitation of vulnerable people. These investigations are about more than shutting down an illegal operation. They are about identifying those who may be profiting from the exploitation of others, holding offenders accountable, and recognizing that some individuals working in these environments may themselves be victims who need help, compassion, and support.
During today’s search, investigators seized more than $4,600 in cash along with additional evidence believed to be associated with prostitution and other unlawful activity.
We are incredibly appreciative of the partnerships that made this investigation possible. Criminal activity does not stop at city or county boundaries, and neither can our efforts to protect our communities. When local and state agencies combine their people, experience, and resources, we are better positioned to address complex criminal activity and protect vulnerable people.
Our message is clear: we do not want individuals or organizations to profit from the exploitation of others in Tillamook. We will continue working with our partners to protect victims, hold offenders accountable, and keep our community safe.
This remains an ongoing investigation, and no additional information will be released at this time. As always, all individuals arrested or cited are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
