Happy National Donut Day and RED Friday! Once again our Home is a sea of red as we Remember Everyone Deployed.
Heather (Volunteer Services) and Duain (Recreation) kicked off our day in style by greeting residents in full donut costumes, while singing 'Sugar Sugar'! While spreading the donut spirit, our traveling donut cart delivered the treats that were also served at coffee social.
Balloon toss and horseshoes kept the fun going, and Piper the dog was here today spreading all the love. Our veterans adore her. Thank you for the visit, Piper!

We had a wonderful visit today from NH State Archivist Ashley Miller. Ashley spoke at our monthly Updates & Spotlights with the Commandant meeting about receiving historical documents from our Home and shared additional incredible pieces important to our state's history. We are excited to have her back next month to share even more. On this we extend a big thanks to the Pelham VFW and VFW Auxiliary #10722 for sponsoring our special Bingo - always a blast. We're so grateful for their continued support. Company Beat had everyone moving and singing in rhythm. Molly, our four-legged friend, was here to spread some love to veterans and staff alike. Thank you for the visit, Molly!

Happy 603 Day, New Hampshire! On this first Wednesday theme day in June, we wore purple to support Alzheimer's Awareness Month.
What better way to celebrate this great weather than with a cookout, made possible by the Atkinson Lions Club's sponsorship! The Lions joined us to run the grill, transport veterans, and serve our veterans. That is what community is all about!
The Atkinson Lions Club also generously donated a new Canon camera that we used today to take these pics. No surprise that we wore out our 'old' camera! We are so grateful for their ongoing support.
Kickball kept the energy going today and our cribbage tournament had the competitive juices flowing. What a great Wednesday!

Happy Monday - and happy June!
Frasier visited and as always, our residents couldn't get enough of those tail wags. Thank you for the visit, Frasier!
Neighborhood kickball and balloon toss rounds brought the competition out in full force, residents gathered for a great sing-along, our Gardening Club was out enjoying the fresh air while getting their hands dirty, and the Shutterbugs photography group was back at it working on their latest projects. We can't wait to see what they create!

We have the nice 'problem' of having so many things going on that we need to play 'catch up' with picture sharing!
Shout out to Kathy Yeo who thoughtfully donated a DVD player and wireless stereo headphones.
Enjoy these from: Subi's wonderful visit, Molly's Memorial Day visit (complete with themed attire!), and another engaging presentation from Sean & Calyssa of NH State Parks - this time of nocturnal animals.
We hope you're also living life to its fullest!

What an honor to once again welcome Maj. Gen. David Mikolaities and members of the NH Army National Guard to our coffee social. We love spending time with them and are grateful for the visit. Thank you for making time for our veterans!
We also loved spending time at the Tilton Senior Center. Our veterans shared their stories on yet another special visit. Always a great time and a wonderful lunch!
Marlena Phillips once again brought beautiful music to our veterans; a few veterans and staff even enjoyed joining her on stage.
Balloon toss brought on the fun as always, and Hiker the dog was back to brighten everyone's day. Thank you for the visit, Hiker!

Happy Friday! As always, our tradition of RED Friday was in full effect as we Honor Everyone Deployed. Our home was a sea of red today.
It was a packed day of fun. Mini golf had our competitive spirit alive, bean bag toss kept the energy going, and residents got in on some blackjack, cribbage, and card games throughout the day.
Our friends Ellysia and Elliott came to coffee social with harmonicas in tow for sing-alongs! Ellysia even brought such a sweet thank you card for resident Al; the hugs between them said it all. These two never fail to brighten our veterans' day. We love their visits.
Shout out to Shirley and Artisan Florals for the donation of the flowers for our front entrance! We are blessed by Shirley and today's other wonderful volunteers: Chris, Shawn, Deb - for their time and dedication to our veterans. We appreciate you all!
Watch huddle brought everyone together as always, and the smiles around the home said it all. What a great Friday!

Congratulations to Susan Magoon, RN, who retired today after 26 years at our Home! We wish her the very best in this next chapter and are thankful she can't stay away... we look forward to her return part-time after some well-deserved R & R!
We also said a bittersweet goodbye to our beloved resident Francis Love, who headed to a veterans home in Maine to be closer to his family. Francis has been a special part of our Home; he will be missed! Wishing him much happiness in his new home.
Thank you to the Belmont American Legion Post 58 for joining us at coffee social for enjoyable company and great conversation. A big thanks also to American Legion Post 88 for sponsoring today's Birthday Bingo! What a great way to celebrate our residents.
Sarah Stanley and Jan Oskar were happy to accept Jeff Chidester's invitation to chat live on WFEA's The Morning Update broadcast from the Easterseals Military & Veterans Campus in Franklin. We appreciate the opportunity to share our story with their listeners!
Another big congratulations to Stephen on the sale of his former home today!
Our Sunshine Cart made its rounds thanks to our wonderful volunteers Celeste and Martha, the Walking Group was out getting their steps in, veterans enjoyed rounds of pool, and Kenda the dog stopped by to spread some love. Thank you for the visit, Kenda!

Also getting caught up sharing these pics of our resident fun with Jackie Lee, Gardening Club, visit from River (our four-legged friend), and also our Shutterbugs photography group - with members who've been creating and editing their work.
And last but certainly not least, Happy Birthday (again) to Stephen Habery! We loved seeing him celebrate with his family.
