Tilton NH Police Department Please be aware this page is not monitored 24/7. This page will not answer calls for service.

Tilton is one of the fastest growing communities in New Hampshire and considered one of the best places to shop, dine and stay when in the Lakes Region. We are the gateway to the Lakes Region and White Mountains for the many tourists who visit New Hampshire each year. In addition, Tilton is also the main access route to the cities of Laconia and Franklin from Interstate 93. This translates to more

traffic and visitors than any other community in Central New Hampshire, which ultimately generates more calls for police service. Managing the high demand for service and investigations takes the well-trained professional team of men and women of the Tilton Police Department.

We are excited to announce the return of our annual Movie in the Park event this summer! This event is sponsored by the Raven Gael Blaisdell Foundation and organized in partnership with Hall Memorial Library and the Tilton Parks Commission. We greatly appreciate their support.

Join us for the first movie night on Friday, May 29th. The park will open at 6 PM, and the movie will start at dusk. We will be screening "Matilda." Admission is free, and we invite everyone to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

On Saturday, April 25th, we will be at Walmart for the annual Drug Take Back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is a great opportunity for the public to safely dispose of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free, and no questions will be asked.

We recommend that you remove labels from prescription bottles or black out your name and any personal information with a permanent marker.

Please note: We cannot accept needles, sharps, syringes, liquids, or illegal drugs.

We have received numerous calls from residents who received text messages about the circulating parking violation scam. Some of these callers had legitimate parking violations from us, which may have made the scam texts seem real. These scams often demand immediate payment and may contain suspicious links or QR codes.

Your safety is important, and it's completely understandable to be concerned about a message like this. Please remember that legitimate law enforcement agencies and courts do not collect parking fines through text messages. If you receive a message that pressures you for immediate payment or threatens arrest, it is likely a scam. In such cases, it is best to contact your local police department for guidance.
