Attention! Effective immediately, the Town of Tilton will no longer mail the blue motor vehicle renewal reminders, due to increases in postage fees. You can still receive them by email as long as we have your email address on file. Please email [email protected] or call 603-286-4425 ext 103, to make sure we have your correct email address.

The Tilton Town Hall will be CLOSED Monday, August 10th and Friday, August 14th due to Town Hall Roof Construction and School Street closure.

Town Hall will be OPEN Tuesday the 11th, Wednesday the 12th and Thursday the 13th.

School Street by Town Hall will be CLOSED August 10th and 14th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The Town Hall roof is being replaced the week of August 10th, and a crane will be required on the 10th and the 14th for the work to be done. As such, School Street near Town Hall will be closed on Monday, August 10th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, and then again on August 14th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. If you have any questions, please call Town Hall at 603-286-4521 ext 100.

The Town Clerk Tax Collector's office will be closing at 4:15 pm on Thursday, July 2nd, and will be closed Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Payments may be dropped off in the mail slot at the top of the front steps of Town Hall.

The Town of Tilton is honored to announce that Patricia Consentino and Jane Alden have both received 2026 Community Service Awards from the Lakes Region Planning Commission!

Pat Consentino, Tilton’s Land Use Coordinator since 2024, was recognized for her professionalism and skill in managing the town's most complex planning projects. Beyond her project work, Pat has successfully rebuilt the Land Use office into a high-performing, self-sustaining, customer service leader.

Jane Alden, Vice Chair of the Tilton Planning Board and a long-serving member, was also honored for her distinguished service. In addition to her important local role, Jane serves on the Executive Committee of the Lakes Region Planning Commission, where she is known for her thoughtful approach to development and deep commitment to community engagement.

Please join us in congratulating them both on this well-deserved honor!

The Tilton Tax Kiosk will be shut down from May 28 through June 10th at noon.

During this time period, you are invited to visit us at Town Hall and pay with cash or check.

The site will go back online sometime during the afternoon of June 10th.
