June 14 ,2026:

Craig Twigg, 40, of Middletown and Lynette Scarantino, 44, of Keansburg were both arrested subsequent to a warrant service at the Red Roof Inn 11 Centre Plaza.

Both Twigg and Scarantino were charged with unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun and a sawed-off shotgun), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a large capacity ammunition magazine, possession of a firearm while committing certain drug offenses, possession of controlled dangerous substance (crack co***ne and various type of prescription medications), possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Scarantino was additionally charged with hindering apprehension for her role in concealing Twigg under a bed in an attempt to avoid Twigg being arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Scarantino was processed and released on a summons and Twigg was processed and lodged into the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.

Ptl. Logan Keefer made the arrests, and he was assisted by Sgt. Christopher Whalen, Ptl. Claude Jones, Ptl. Nicole Melia, Det. Michael Ballas, Ptl. Max Lorenzo, Ptl, Tyler Dobrzynski, and SLEOII Kyle Wlazlowski.

June 14, 2026:

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Hope Rd. James Lambert, 63, of Long Branch was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (he**in). Lambert was processed and released on a summons.

Ptl. Claude Jones and SLEOII Kyle Wlazlowski made the arrest and they were assisted by Ptl. Tyler Dobrzynski.

June 14, 2026:

Subsequent to a warrant service and arrest on Hope Rd. Vanessa Infante, 43, of Lakewood and Joseph Leight, 33, of Jackson were both arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (crack co***ne) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both Infante and Leight were processed and released on summonses.

Ptl. Logan Keefer made the arrests, and he was assisted by Ptl. Max Lorenzo and Ptl. Tyler Dobrzynski.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant(s) has all the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State Law.

* PASSING OF K9 HUNTER *

It is with profound sadness that the Tinton Falls Police Department announces the passing of retired K9 officer Hunter.

K9 Hunter proudly served the residents of Tinton Falls for 10 years from 2012 to 2022. K9 Hunter was 14 years old.

K9 Hunter was a 2012 graduate of the Tinton Falls K9 Academy where he was certified in patrol and narcotics work. From 2014 to 2019 K9 Hunter participated in the United States Police Canine Association Region 6 & 15 competitions where he had multiple top-3 finishes. K9 Hunter was named top dog in 2016.

K9 Hunter participated in countless demonstrations for schools, local organizations, and community events. K9 Hunter had many narcotics and missing persons finds over the year’s throughout Monmouth County.

Please keep K9 Hunter’s handler & best friend, Det. James Sapia in your
thoughts during this difficult time.

🚨 Witnesses Sought – Motor Vehicle Crash 🚨

The Tinton Falls Police Department is seeking any witnesses to a motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:45 PM on June 11, 2026, at the intersection of Hope Road and Park Road (near Applebee’s).

Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact Corporal Dave Ebert at the Tinton Falls Police Department.

🏃 2026 NEW JERSEY LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN 🏃

6.5.2026 - Earlier today the Tinton Falls & Shrewsbury Police Department’s participated in the 43 Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Approximately 3000 New Jersey Law Enforcement Officers are participating in this year’s event and carrying the “Flame of Hope” across 26 legs statewide.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the kick off to the Special Olympics New Jersey’s Summer Games, which is being held at the College of New Jersey Campus, June 5-7.

Retired Lt. Blake Rutherford, Ptl. Joseph Mauer, Ptl. Justin Orosz, Ptl. Tyler Dobrzynski, Ptl. Austin Lilley, Ptl. Gabby DeGroat, Ptl. Monique Lopez, Det. Michael Ballas, Ptl. Ryan Anderson, Lt. John Tallarico, and his son Christopher Tallarico.

May 28, 2026:

Lamar Hicks Sr., 41, of Brick, Lah'ki Hicks, 19, of Keansburg, Cha Taylor, 19, of Keansburg, Justreal Randolph, 19 of Asbury Park, Tairell Billingsley, 35, of Highlands, and a 16-year-old juvenile from Keansburg were all arrested following a suspicious vehicle investigation and traffic stop on Centre Plaza.

During the traffic stop the occupants were found to be in possession of two loaded handguns, 11 ounces of crack co***ne, multiple bags of he**in, and various types of drug paraphernalia. It was also determined that the vehicle was reported stolen out of South Amboy.

The occupants were charged with multiple offenses. Unlawful possession of a weapon (handguns), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance over 5 ounces, possession a firearm while committing a controlled dangerous substance offense, employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime, endangering the welfare of a child, and receiving stolen property (motor vehicle).

Hicks Sr., Hicks, Taylor, Randolph, and Billingsley were all processed and lodged into the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. The juvenile was processed and lodged into the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center.

The arrests were made by Det. Michael Ballas, and he was assisted by Lt. Matthew Yurcuisin, Sgt. Joseph Schuler, Det. James Sapia, Det Sgt. William Rodriguez, Det. Brian Cahill, Ptl. Lynelle Scanlon, Ptl. John Scrivanic Jr., and Ptl. Ryan Anderson

May 29, 2026:

Amada Schneider, 33, of Manchester and Alexander Perez, 36, of Brick, were arrested following a traffic stop on Rt. 33.

During the traffic stop, both Schneider and Perez were found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (co***ne) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Schneider was also found to have outstanding warrants from Wall Twp. and Neptune Twp.

Both Schneider and Perez were processed and released on summonses.

The arrests were made by Det. James Sapia, and he was assisted by Det. Sgt. William Rodriguez, Det. Brian Cahill, Det. Christopher Mills, Ptl. Anthony Costanza, and Ptl. Joey Fields

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant(s) has all the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State Law.
