The Forest County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. This opening is full-time, and comes with a comprehensive benefit package including retirement, health care, vision, and dental insurance. The primary function of this position is to patrol areas of Forest County and provide law enforcement services. These duties include but are not limited to responding to calls, enforcing the Pennsylvania crimes code, vehicle code, local ordinance, courthouse/courtroom security, civil service, and prisoner transports. Duties also include enforcement of federal statutes with the US Forest Service. All required continuing education training will be paid for. Please deliver applications to the Forest County Sheriff’s Office at the address listed below. We prefer all applicants to be Act 120 Certified or prior Law Enforcement Certified. Merry Christmas to all

Our 12th annual shop with a cop was held on Sunday, December 15. This year we were able to help 52 kids earn a shopping experience. Each child this year received $150 to spend. They were able to choose items that they needed such as hats, gloves, boots, shoes, coats, and all other clothes. Then once they had their items on their list, they were able to go get a toy or two.

After shopping, we then took the kids to McDonald’s for dinner before taking them home.

Each family also received a $75.00 gift certificate to Tionesta Farm Fresh to get items for their holiday meal.

I want to thank my office, the local heros (from all different departments) who come to shop with us, the volunteers who come and help each officer, without all of you, this program would not happen.

Special thank you to Cheri Switzer and Jen Nuttall for all the work that you do. There is a lot that goes into this to make it all run smoothly.

Thank you to all who donated to this program. Your donations make this event possible. I love how our community can come together and support each other.

Things are starting to get exciting around the office as we make our final preparations for our annual Shop with a Cop event. Only 2 1/2 weeks to go👮‍♂️🎅
