February 15th ~ National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! Today is a day we proudly recognize and extend our gratitude to Off. David Dierks!

We love you and all you do!

SROs are more than law enforcement officers — they are mentors, role models, and trusted partners in education. They build meaningful relationships with students, support staff, and help create safe, welcoming learning environments where everyone can thrive.

Thank you for your commitment, compassion, and the positive impact you make in our community!

We appreciate you each and every day. 🚔🍎

Tipton Police Department is partnered with the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division for to***co, alternative ni****ne and v***r product education and enforcement

Tipton, Iowa – The Tipton Police Department has taken a pledge to keep to***co, alternative ni****ne and v***r products out of the hands of Tipton’s youth.

Known as the I-PLEDGE, the program is a partnership with the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division (ABD) to educate local retailers and to enforce Iowa’s to***co, alternative ni****ne and v***r product laws. By participating in the program, the Tipton Police Department has committed to do its part to increase the compliance rate even more this year.

I-PLEDGE places emphasis on retailer training. Clerks who successfully complete an online training course and then pass an exam become I-PLEDGE certified. This allows a retail establishment to use an affirmative defense against a civil penalty if the certified clerk makes an illegal sale.

Officers will be conducting compliance checks on local establishments as part of the I-PLEDGE program. Underage customers, under the supervision of a law enforcement official, will enter establishments and attempt to buy to***co, alternative ni****ne and v***r products. Clerks who make the illegal sale will be cited on the spot. A reminder that the age to purchase to***co in Iowa is now 21 years of age.

Criminal penalties for selling to***co, alternative ni****ne and v***r products to a minor include a $100 fine for the first offense, a $250 fine for a second offense and a $500 fine for third and subsequent offenses. However, handing out a citation is not the intent of the I-PLEDGE program.
To take the I-PLEDGE training or search certification records go to https://abd.iowa.gov/.

Authorities confirmed the "individual responsible for this incoming winter weather" has been taken into custody.

The individual in question was not identified in an initial post from the Moore Police Department, but she can be seen handcuffed, and standing in a blue, glittery dress with sheer sleeves.

An officer standing nearby can also be seen holding what appears to be a tiara with pink gemstones.

"The winter storm is still coming," police wrote. "The cold never bothered her anyway, but it will bother your commute."
