Soybean Scout School was a huge success!

When a Lake County landowner reached out with concerns about his pond, we were happy to answer the call. With the help of Benton County ANR Agent Justin Hargrove, we spent the day assessing fish populations, evaluating pond health, and gathering valuable information to help guide future management decisions.

Whether it’s crops, livestock, lawns, gardens, or ponds, we’re here to connect our communities with the latest university research and expertise.

As an added bonus, several young anglers got a firsthand look at fisheries management in action, and judging by the smiles, they had just as much fun learning as we did teaching! 🎣

What a great week at 4-H Camp! 🍀
Our campers made new friends, learned new skills, and created memories that will last a lifetime. I'm so proud of how they represented our county and stepped outside their comfort zones. Thank you to all the parents, volunteers, and staff who helped make this week a success!

UT Extension has an opening for a Farm Manage Specialist. This position has been housed at the Dyer Co office, but could be in another office within the territory served. Requires a Masters in Ag Economics and a preference for in field experience in crop production. Click the link for more details.

This position will work with regional, county, and state Extension staff, and other MANAGE team members in planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, reporting, and evaluating state, area, and county programs in farm and financial management, small rural agriculture-related business analysis....
