Congratulations to Jbraylon Mays and Lynnlee Smith for representing LCHS at Boys State and Girls State last week! Jbraylon attended Boys State at Tennessee Tech, while Lynnlee attended Girls State at Lipscomb University. These prestigious leadership programs provide students with valuable opportunities to learn about government, citizenship, and leadership while connecting with outstanding students from across Tennessee. We are proud of the way they represented LCHS and know they gained experiences that will benefit them for years to come!

Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Northwest is excited to announce TCAT Northwest Tech Camp, a hands-on educational experience for middle school students, taking place June 1 – June 5, 2026, at the Newbern Campus. Tech Camp will run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is designed for students ages 12–14 (grades 6–8) who are interested in exploring technical and career-focused programs. The registration fee is $70 per student.

Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.

Reminder: Summer Learning Camp begins tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th!

If you have already registered your student, please drop them off at Lara Kendall during the regular car line between 7:45–8:00 AM, or students may ride the shuttle bus from LCHS at 7:30 AM.
For afternoon pick-up, car line will begin at 2:30 PM, or your child will return to LCHS on the shuttle bus at approximately 2:45 PM.
