The Tishomingo Public Library offers a wide range of print and digital resources. We also offer eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines through RBdigital. This August, we have partnered with Hoopla, a digital resource, for more availability of eBooks. ABCmouse, free to access at the library, helps kids learn to read through phonics, math lesson, social studies, art, music, and much more for kids age 2 to 8.
Free internet and 24-hour Wi-Fi are also available. In the month or June, the children are invited to participate in the Summer Reading Program. These programs include story time, crafts, and activities that encourage reading, language skills, and social development. Please call the library for dates and times. We also sponsor rock painting (the kindness project) each Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm providing the weather is good. This is a seasonal program during the summer while the kids are out of school. The second Saturday in December, Santa Clause makes a visit during our annual Christmas Party. While we wait on his arrival, we make crafts, play games, and read a story. Remember to bring your camera so you can have your picture made with Santa. If youβre looking for a fun way to be involved in your community, join the Friends of the Library. Membership is $5 a year and your support is vital to library growth.
