The Hopewell Township Police Department is now accepting applications for our Citizens Police Academy!

This free program offers residents a behind-the-scenes look at modern policing and the day-to-day operations of the department. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from our officers through classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on activities covering topics such as:

🚓 Patrol Operations
🚦 Traffic Enforcement
🕵️ Criminal Investigations
🐕 K-9 Unit Demonstrations
🚨 Emergency Response
⚖️ Use of Force & Police Procedures
…and much more!

The Citizens Police Academy is designed to build stronger relationships between the police department and our community while providing a better understanding of the challenges and responsibilities of law enforcement.

Last night's National Night Out was an incredible success, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing community!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to make the evening so special. To our residents, vendors, volunteers, community organizations, and first responders—thank you for your time, support, and commitment to making Hopewell Township such a wonderful place to live.

This was the largest turnout we've ever had for National Night Out, and seeing so many families, friends, and neighbors come together was truly amazing. Events like this strengthen the relationships between our community and the police, fire, EMS, and all of our local partners.

Thank you for spending your evening with us, creating lasting memories, and helping make this year's event our best yet.

We can't wait to see everyone again next year for an even bigger and better National Night Out!

**ROAD CLOSURE** Rt 654 at Van D**e and W Broad St at Louellen St is temporarily closed to traffic for emergency gas main repairs. The roadway is expected to reopen this afternoon with alternating traffic due to the ongoing water main replacement project.

Congratulations!!! Officer’s Erick Reiniger, Karla Jenkins, Milo De Los Santos, Nicholas Wright, Nicholas Venettone graduated from the Mercer County Police Academy Class #35-26 today. They completed the intense 21-week Basic Police Officer course and will begin their Field Training assignments.

Special shout out to Officer Karla Jenkins for being chosen as class speaker.
