At approximately 07:20 hours yesterday morning, Station 25 and Truck 47 were alerted to the 1900 block of Horseshoe Bend in A Pocono Country Place for a residential structure fire.

25 Command upgraded the assignment to a 2nd alarm with a report of smoke showing from security on scene. 25 Command arrived to find a split level single family dwelling with smoke showing from the eaves and a report of possible entrapment.

Crews from 25 and 47 conducted fire suppression and search operations and found the home to be vacant. The fire was quickly brought under control. Crews operated for approximately 4 hours on the scene and one firefighter was assessed on scene and released by EMS for a minor injury.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshals and Pocono Mt. Regional Police.

Any questions or information should be directed to either police agency.
