Congratulations to the 98 Troopers who earned their Silver Spurs this week!

Of the 121 Soldiers who started the Spur Ride on Wednesday morning, 98 proved they had the necessary grit, physical fitness, and tactical proficiency to earn their spurs Thursday evening. Thank you to all of the Spur Holders who put on a great event!

Congratulations to CPT Abigail Metje, CW3 Kevin Hopson, and CW2 Sean Kelly on their promotions!

This week, the promotees and Saber 6 flew to Currahee Mountain in Georgia and hiked to the top of the mountain, where Squadron Commander LTC Mark Conklin promoted the three outstanding officers.

Abigail Metje serves as a executive officer in Detla Troop, Kevin Hopson serves as the maintence test pilot in Charlie Troop, and Sean Kelly is a pilot in Charlie Troop.

HHT/2-17 CAV Change of Command 13JUN2024 — This afternoon, 2-17 CAV conducted a Change of Command for Headquarters “Headhunters” Troop during a ceremony held at the Squadron Hangar. CPT Julian Lidback relinquished command of HHT to CPT Kyle Williams, the incoming Commander. CPT Lidback has served HHT for well over a year and has played an instrumental role in the success of HHT and the Squadron over the course of multiple field exercises and JRTC. HHT and the entire Squadron thank you for your incredible leadership, mentorship, friendship, and dedication to Soldier Well fare. We wish you and your entire family the best in all of your future endeavors!
