So much gratitude to the people of Cook County for continuing to support our operating levy! That is really huge for our school district and kiddos.

Thank you to the folks in District 5 who have entrusted me to continue on as their school board representative and for your commitment to strengthening our public schools.

Congrats to Rena Rogers and Erik Redix in their wins. Looking forward to working with you!

The Cook County Education Association is the teachers union at Cook County Schools. These are the dedicated and skilled folks that are teaching our kids each day. I appreciated the opportunity to respond to their questions to help more people understand my perspective on school leadership. The work of school boards is all done in public. It's important to be open and responsive to the community for which we serve.

We wanted to provide some information on the candidates for Cook County School Board. All candidates were invited to fill out a written questionnaire. Three candidates chose not to participate.

Happy Halloween! I got to spend the morning volunteering in the first grade classrooms with some pumpkin themed activities. We then headed outside where I built a couple of campfires and the kids roasted bannock on a stick. What fun!

Ballots have been delivered to District 5! Please vote and remember to flip the ballot over and Vote Yes(!) to renew the School referendum. Also, make sure to have your ballot witnessed by a registered voter in Minnesota. Thank you all for your support!

A couple of updates for today:

1. Send me a DM if you'd like a yard sign and I'll arrange to get it to you next week. If you're on an arterial in the West End, even better!

2. I recorded an interview with WTIP North Shore Community Radio this week that will be airing early next week. Tune in to hear from all candidates from all three races.

3. WTIP has agreed to host a live on air forum with me and my opponent in October. I know folks want to hear more from the candidates, so this will be a great opportunity. Send me topics that you want to hear us discuss.

This is a prime example of a Cook County kid. Will has worked hard and been persistent in his basketball journey. Those are traits we value and instill at ISD 166. Nice job, Will, and congrats!
