Happy August, Garfield Families!

If you reside more than one mile from Garfield, your student(s) is eligible for transportation services, with a designated pick-up/drop-off site. If you have not already requested transportation, and would like to have bussing arranged for the first day of school, please be sure to call the school office at 419.671.7550 or email our school secretary, Mrs. Rachel Jaffe at [email protected] by the end of day this Friday, August 7.

If your student(s) has mobility concerns or special health needs, transportation is provided in accordance with the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP). If you have moved and your child is receiving special transportation services, please contact your School Assistance Center at 419.671.8901 as soon as possible to maintain uninterrupted service.

Unfortunately, students attending Garfield on an Intra-District (IDT) permit are not provided transportation.

The annual Helping Hands of St. Louis Shoe Fest is this Saturday, July 25th, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at 443 6th Street, Toledo, Ohio 43605. Shoes, socks, and school supplies will be given away to children to help each child start their school year off on the right foot!

Organizers say the event helps each child start their school year off on the right foot by giving away shoes and socks to those in need.
