POSSIBLE WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION – TODAY, AUGUST 17

Residents in the area from Riverbrooke down to Hemlock and 4th Street may experience intermittent water service between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM today while City of Toledo Public Works completes work on the water system.

Water service may be turned off and restored periodically throughout this timeframe.

Once service is restored, you may notice a small amount of air in the water lines or temporary cloudiness or discoloration. This can occasionally occur as the system returns to normal operation. If noticed, simply run your cold water for a few minutes until it clears.

We appreciate your patience while Public Works completes this work.

Questions may be directed to City Hall at 360-864-4564.

A Quilt with a Story to Tell

This beautiful quilt was handcrafted by Mary Blair, Esther Borte's daughter, and was originally created for the 2018 Esther Borte Walk in the Park quilt raffle. That year, Tammy Stanton, Mary's daughter and Esther's granddaughter, was the lucky winner.

Following Tammy's passing a few years ago, the family has generously chosen to donate the quilt back to the raffle in memory of both Tammy and Esther. Their hope is that this special quilt can continue its journey, creating new memories while helping support another year of the event that means so much to their family and our community.

This quilt has come full circle, from being raffled in 2018, to being cherished by Tammy, and now returning to the community as a tribute to two women whose memories continue to inspire those who knew them.

Raffle Tickets are $10 each.

The winning ticket will be drawn during the Esther Borte Walk in the Park on September 12, 2026, at Kemp Olson Memorial Park.

A heartfelt thank you to the Borte family for sharing this treasured piece of family and event history. We are honored to help carry Esther's legacy forward and keep this tradition alive for another year.

Registration is now open. We hope you'll join us for this special community tradition!
