The Toledo Fire Department invites all children and families to join us Saturday, May 16th following the Toledo Springfest Parade for a FREE hands-on fire safety event.

Participants will learn fire prevention and home evacuation procedures inside a safety training smoke house with guidance from local firefighters.

𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧

The Large Animal Rescue course is the perfect training opportunity for any first responder who may be required to respond to a large animal rescue incident, including fire, police, EMS, sheriff departments, DNR, and forest preserve officers. The course will begin with awareness level training that will address the purpose of large animal rescue, incident prevention and evacuation planning, animal behavior, handling, large animal scene management, containment and capture of large animals, and trailer and transport incidents. The remainder of the course will involve operations level training that incorporates hands-on drills with the awareness level content. The information and techniques learned will be applied to a full-scale response scenario.
