We had so much fun today working with the Lucas County Republican Party to help clean up the city! Working with our party leadership, candidates like Derek Merrin and Ian Chamberlin was so cool, we’re excited to help them make Toledo a better place!

Thursday night, UT College Republicans had the honor of hosting our very own UTCRs alum Derek Merrin in an exciting meeting discussing his life story, his time at UT in College Republicans, his experience as the Mayor of Waterville and as a State Representative, as well as his plan for the future running for US Congress in the OH-9 district to defeat Marcy Kaptur. We are energized and ready to help him in his fight to lower taxes, create better legislation, and to Make America Great Again! Thanks for coming back to campus!

Early Thursday morning, The University of Toledo College Republicans coordinated with White House staff and Lucas County Officials to volunteer and help run this rally when Vice President JD Vance and so many other great leaders came to visit the TOL! These student volunteers got up at 4:30 AM to help guide rally attendees outside and inside the venue, as well as various other tasks as directed by Vance Staffers, which played a critical role in everything going smoothly. We got great seats for the rally itself got to meet TONS of our greatest leaders all in one place! We made so many amazing memories, as well as important connections that we plan to use later to host more speaker events on campus. We are energized and ready to continue to help the Republican Party in every way we can!
