Calling all newly minted Eagle Scouts, prospective Eagle Scouts, their leaders, and District and Council Board members: check this out. For Erie Shores Council, we have something for you!!

Scouts and Scouters of Erie Shores Council. My name is Dr James N . Phillllips Jr., and I am a Scouter in Erie Shores Council.

Mutual Aid. I belong to a couple of organizations that have opportunities for Service Projects and recognition for prospective Eagle Scouts. Check out the list below.

Remember Veteran Grave Markers, Inc (RVGM Inc.) is a Lucas County non-profit that preserves, honors, and remembers the Veterans in the Lucas County cemeteries; a great opportunity for a service project.

The John S. Kountz Camp of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) also does the same as RVGM Inc, and offers an Eagle Scout certificate. https://suvcw.org/eagle-scout-recognition

The American Legion supports Scouting through their program https://www.legion.org/get-involved/youth-programs/scouting.

National Association of Masonic Scouting has a member benefit (which I am) of https://www.nams-bsa.org/member-benefits/

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) also has its recognition at https://www.sarfoundation.org/education/council-of-youth-awards/aurthur-m-brenda-king-eagle-scout-award/

If the Districts would like and the Schedules permit, I can present at a Roundtable or at a Commissioners' College to make the DEs aware of these recognition programs to supplement programming.

Thank you for your work with youth. Message me if you wish to know more.
