This year at our annual Woman to Woman Luncheon, Denise Brown will explore the complexities of what a victim of domestic violence goes through and how we can best react if and when abuse is faced by someone we know.

This year's Keynote Speaker, Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, is an Author, Advocate, and Activist. Thirty years after her sister's murder, she dedicated her time, along with her sisters, to a Lifetime documentary, “The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson,” and just signed a book deal with Blackstone Publishing with the release date this October.

Denise Brown has made a lifelong commitment to educate the public as well as improve the quality of living for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. She is determined to banish the darkness and end the silence.

Announcing Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson and longtime domestic violence advocate, as the keynote speaker for our upcoming Woman to Woman event.

Brown has dedicated decades to educating communities about domestic violence, recognizing warning signs, and supporting those experiencing abuse. Her personal experience and continued advocacy offer a powerful perspective on why conversations around domestic violence matter, and why knowing what to look for can make a difference.

With the release of her new book, For My Sister Nicole: Love Shouldn’t Hurt — What to Know About Domestic Violence, on October 6, this event provides an opportunity to bring greater awareness to domestic violence and the resources available to survivors in Northwest Ohio.

We are saddened to have lost such an impactful individual here in Toledo where Gloria's roots began. We know that there's no stopping the women who intend to follow in her foot steps. Gloria will be missed, and we hope that others are encouraged by seeing how she fought for our futures.
