Aurora Project, Inc. The Aurora Project, Inc. is a comprehensive housing and life skills program that empowers homeless women and their children. are offered to our families.

Aurora is a supportive housing program for homeless women and children. We provide many services, all designed to lead a woman from homelessness to self-sufficiency and independence. Intensive case management, as well as programs such as Life Skills, Parent Education, Creative Exploration, Financial Management, etc. It is Aurora's purpose to provide a "hand up" and not simply a "hand out".

Today marks 40 years of Aurora Project.

Forty years of mothers and children staying together instead of being torn apart. Forty years of women walking back through these doors, not as residents, but as teachers, mentors, and board members, showing the next family what's possible.
This isn't just a building. It's a place where families heal, and what Aurora gives a woman, she keeps.

A past president of the Junior League of Toledo saw Aurora in the news, and JLT followed with a gift to 40 Years Forward.

Since 1933, JLT has advanced women’s leadership for community impact — training volunteers and putting them to work where Toledo needs them. Women showing up for women and children is how Aurora started, too. Grateful to be in good company, and grateful to everyone who tells our story out loud.
