Toledo Early College High School offers a college preparatory program that focuses on a liberal arts program. The curriculum is designed to accelerate students into college courses at the University of Toledo, beginning with the freshman school year. Students take two years of English, up to three years of mathematics and science and two years of social studies at the high school level. All other

courses, including electives and foreign language are taken at the University of Toledo. Students can earn up to 60 college credits during the four-year high school experience. College-level courses and required textbooks are provided at no cost to students. College courses qualify for dual credits, allowing them to be counted for high school and college credits. Students will earn credits that will be recorded officially on TPS and UT transcripts.

Good afternoon everyone!

School starts soon, here are some dates to look out for. Mrs. Cole sent a letter via JupiterED with all of this information as well as other information that needs to be known.

Monday, August 17, 2026: NEW to TEC 9th grade students only, this does not include TEC’s 8th graders from last school year.

Tuesday, August 18, 2026: NEW to TEC 7th and 8th graders only.

Wednesday, August 19, 2026: ALL students grades 7-10 return.

Friday, August 21, 2026: Mandatory orientation for grades 11-12 will be held at 11:30 am in the auditorium.

Juniors and seniors with high school classes will report on August 24 to their high school classes.

Excellent work Gabriel and Masen! This is one of the first times to our knowledge that TEC has received an award at nationals for NHD.

The last two days in Toyohashi have been a whirl wind. On Wednesday, the students went to the zoo and got to learn the history of and try on traditional kimono. On our last full day (Thursday), TEC students, Sensei Kitamura, and Mr. Shepler led classes. We had a great time and our host were excellent.
