The Shoreland Firefighters Association is the SOLE EXECUTOR of this annual event. Only your firefighters contribute the several hours of dedication and hard work for our neighborhood to enjoy this occasion!

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of WTFD lifetime member George Green Jr. who passed away on Sunday April 5th. George served the Washington Township community for 54 years and continued to play a huge role even after his retirement. George could always be found around the station, whether it be dressed as Santa for polar express every year, drills on Wednesday nights, at every fundraiser and department event or to just come visit and check in, always with a big smile on his face. We are very saddened by George’s passing and cannot thank him enough for his service and unwavering dedication to WTFD. He will be missed dearly.

Asst. Chief Bill Long, private Dustin Moon, and private Bailee Markowiak were awarded at last nights WTFD 2025 awards ceremony. These awards are given as a huge thank you for this year’s hard work, commitment, dedication and devotion to not only our department but also our township and the community we serve.

Asst. Chief Long was awarded most runs as an officer!
Dustin Moon was awarded most runs as a private AND Rookie “boot” of the year! Bailee Markowiak was awarded member of the year!
