Student slots at The Maritime Academy of Toledo are filling up quickly! If you have not yet submitted your student’s enrollment application, please turn it in ASAP to secure their spot for the 2026–2027 school year.

We are incredibly grateful to Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies for their generous donation of a commercial oven to Maritime Academy of Toledo! This incredible gift will have a lasting impact on our Culinary Arts Program by giving students the opportunity to learn with professional-grade equipment while preparing for careers in the culinary industry.

Our summer school students had an incredible hands-on learning experience this week! Students stepped into the captain’s role by using Maritime Academy’s own ship simulator to practice navigating vessels and learning the fundamentals of maritime operations.

The excitement continued as students took to the water for their very first kayaking experience under the guidance of 1LT Sarah Genzman and SGT Hartmann. From learning water safety skills to building confidence on the water, our students rose to the challenge and did an amazing job!

We are proud of their willingness to try new things, embrace learning outside the classroom, and develop skills that connect directly to maritime careers and outdoor recreation. Thank you to 1LT Genzman and SGT Hartmann for sharing their expertise and for The Josh Project and The Greater Toledo Aquatic Club in helping create such a memorable experience for our students!
