Discovery Academy Discovery Academy is a tuition-free community school serving grades K-7 and focusing on 21st century.

Discovery Academy, located in Toledo, Ohio, is a tuition-free community school serving grades K-6 and focusing on 21st century skills and project-based learning. Discovery Academy strives to empower our students with tools that they may not otherwise have access to due to economic constraints. There is a need to enable them to envision the world beyond their own neighborhood. It is our desire to expose them to people and places they never would have had an opportunity to meet or see. They will be empowered to see the difference they can make in their own community as they engage in project-based learning. Understanding and using technology will be an integral part of virtually every aspect of daily life for our students. It is our mission to transform the learning process with technology-infused projects beneficial to the community, while promoting collaboration, global awareness, and high student achievement.

It saddens me to inform all of you that one of our buses had a fender bender this morning with one of our parent cars in the parking lot. If any of your students have any questions about the accident that took place this morning please feel free to call Petermann formally known as Trinity for additional details. All of the students that were being dropped off at this time appeared to be safe and physically sound. In addition to this, new bus routing letters are being sent home today to insure safety and that our students get home at a decent time every afternoon.

Please look for either a Trinity bus or a Petermann bus for your student this morning. I apologize when I stated that the names will be changed on the buses, but not all of the buses have changed over. Look for both Trinity and Petermann for your child’s transportation. Thank you.

🎉 We’d love for all of our kindergarten parents and siblings to join us and cheer on their little learners as they find out which house they’ll be part of.
