The Rotary Club of Reynolds Corners hit the road this week to visit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio. Executive Director Chad Bringman showed us how the house gives families with a child in the hospital a free place to stay, rest, and be together, plus programs like the hospitality suite at Toledo Children's Hospital and the Care Mobile that bring care straight into our community.

Thank you to Chad and the RMHC team for hosting us. If you're looking for a way to give back locally, cooking a meal or volunteering a few hours goes a long way.

At our meeting this week, member John Nowakowski brought a piece of history right into the room. John shared artifacts from The Last Patrol Museum and Training Command, his project to build a military museum and youth training program, and the stories that came with them were something else!

From a photo of a warship pulled out of a drawer in seconds to reconnect a family with their grandfather's service, to a man moved to tears stepping aboard a 44-foot Coast Guard vessel that saved his life as a child, these aren't just objects. They're the reason John does what he does.

What a day! 🛠️
Reynolds Corners Rotary Club volunteers spent Thursday at the Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity Playhouse Project build, and we had an absolute blast. We built a custom Bluey-themed playhouse for four siblings who were beyond excited to see it.

Every playhouse is built by volunteers and designed around the kids who will use it. No two are ever the same. That's what makes this project so special.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and gave their time. This is what service is all about.
