Your support helped create a fun, exciting, and memorable experience for our scholars. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and joy on our students' faces was a reminder of the positive impact that community partnerships can have on our school.

Today, Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy for Boys had the pleasure of hosting Claire’s Day featured author Antwan Eady.

Mr. Eady, a proud alumnus of Clemson University, is originally from Garnett, South Carolina. As the youngest of his siblings—and the first in his family to graduate from college—he has dedicated much of his life to helping others achieve that same milestone through his work with various organizations.

As an author, Mr. Eady is passionate about ensuring children have access to literature that not only inspires them, but also has the power to uplift, guide, and transform their lives. He writes with the intention of creating space in literature where underrepresented children can see themselves reflected as the main character.

To date, he has written 10 picture books, one poetry anthology, and currently has a novel in progress.
