Oregon GOP Releases Statement on Lindsay James and Her Portland Roots

Lindsay James, candidate for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional district, was born in Portland, Oregon, and while she built her political career in Iowa, her political views certainly resemble those of her birthplace.

Lately, national headlines about Oregon repeatedly expose one adverse consequence after another of the radical policies championed by so-called progressive politicians, mostly from Lindsay James’s hometown. Oregonians have seen firsthand what happens when these policies take hold, and the results speak for themselves.

Despite some of the highest taxes and government spending in the country, Oregon has plunged toward the bottom in rankings of critical areas like education, public safety, affordability, and business competitiveness. Watching this decline at the hands of entrenched progressive politicians and their leftist policies, Oregonians are beginning to understand the difficulty of reversing this deterioration. Trust us: you don’t want our problems.

Lindsay James may have left Oregon, but she has taken with her the same progressive political philosophy that has trampled our state into serious decline. Iowa voters would be wise to learn from our mistakes.
