S’MORE HALLOWEEN FUN
was had by all!

What a GREAT turnout, 60+ kids and adults enjoyed an evening of creativity, s’mores, and gorgeous weather!

Enjoy just a few of the amazing creations! It was especially fun to watch the adults get in on the fun, too!

BTW… did you know this event had a purpose beyond the fun? ♻️ It was created to give the leftover pumpkins from Fall Fest decorations a second life!

REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE! Mission accomplished!!!

Thanks to everyone who GOT OUTDOORS with TAMA COUNTY CONSERVATION!!

Had a great time at the Trick or Treat trail at the South Tama High School yesterday. Saw oodles of costumed kids!! All of the Axolotls and butterflies made my Naturalist heart happy! Oh, and the pickle, because..well, why not?!?

Weather is looking beautiful again for today. In fact, perfect for S'MORE HALLOWEEN FUN at Otter Creek Lake & Park.

Pumpkins and supplies will be limited. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

NOPE, not snow!! The last few days of dry sunny weather has let Common Milkweed pods burst open and release their silky seeds. These flossy seeds will hitch rides on the wind and hopefully germinate next spring!!
