After 13 years of serving the Toledo and Northwest Ohio community, US Together has made the difficult decision to close our Toledo office and conclude the programs operated from this location.
US Together opened its Toledo operations in 2013, initially providing refugee resettlement services. Over the years, our Toledo team helped 300 refugees begin new lives in Northwest Ohio and expanded its work to include intensive case management, health and economic integration, youth and family services, Women’s Empowerment, English-language support, Peer Support, and other community-based programs.
We are deeply proud of what our Toledo staff, volunteers, community partners, and the individuals and families we served built together. The relationships created through this work and the impact of these programs will remain an important part of US Together’s history.
This decision is part of a broader agency restructuring in response to significant changes in funding. We are making difficult program and staffing decisions so that US Together can remain sustainable and focus our resources on services we can responsibly maintain.
While our physical Toledo office and its programs are closing, US Together’s work continues. Interpretation & Translation Services will continue to serve customers and communities in Toledo and Northwest Ohio, and US Together will remain engaged in statewide partnerships and initiatives focused on economic integration.
We are grateful to everyone who has been part of US Together‘s work in Toledo over the past 13 years. Thank you for welcoming us, partnering with us, volunteering with us, and trusting us to serve alongside this community.
