Saturday, August 22nd is the FINAL day for our Summer Reading Programs (Kids, Teens, & Adults).

Stop in and claim your earned tickets to place within the prize baskets this week. The prizes kids earn along the way throughout their program can still be claimed past August 22nd, but the tickets cannot after 5pm Saturday!

Come join Tolland Youth Services and Miss Meghan for a craft that is just in time for school. Decorate a pencil pouch you can use once the school year starts!

Registration is required for the child (or children) participating in the craft. Once you are registered, you may come anytime between 4PM and 6PM to create your pencil pouch.

Join Eastern Highlands Health District for 2 interactive Blood Pressure Educational classes (4:45 PM, Aug. 13th & 20th) which include an online component and free blood pressure monitor for participants. The library just released 3 Monarch Butterflies today! There are many more chrysalises that have yet to open. Come in and maybe you'll catch a glimpse of a butterfly emerging!

This week! 👕👖👟

As back-to-school shopping revs up, would you like to swap out the clothes your kids have outgrown without spending any money? Do you have clothes in great condition that your kids no longer wear? Join us for our first Children's Clothing Swap (ages infant - 12 years old). You do not have to donate to take from the swap. Bags will not be provided, so please bring your own bags. Items may be dropped off anytime in the Library Program Room after noon on Saturday, August 1st, or brought to the swap if they are sorted by sizes. PLEASE do not leave bags outside the library and please donate only clean items in good condition that you would want your own child to wear. No socks unless like new and no undergarments unless still packaged. If successful, we look forward to this becoming an annual event! Sponsored by Tolland Public Library and Tolland Youth Services.
