The Tomball Police Department was proud to host the first night of our R.A.D. (R**e Aggression Defense) class this evening. Participants began learning valuable awareness, prevention, and self-defense techniques designed to help build confidence and personal safety skills.

Our instructors were excited to see such great participation and engagement from the community. This program is about more than self-defense β€” it’s about empowerment, education, and building stronger connections within our community.

We look forward to continuing the training over the next two sessions and watching our participants grow in confidence each night.

Today, the Tomball Police Department joins our community and nation in remembering and honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we cherish every day. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We also extend our gratitude to the families of our fallen heroes, whose strength and sacrifice continue long after the battle ends.

As we gather with family and friends this holiday, let us take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor those who gave everything for our nation.

Today, we pause to honor the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day. As we spend time with family and friends, it is important to reflect on their dedication and courage with the deepest respect and gratitude.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Today, the Tomball Police Department hosted the Annual Tomball Police Memorial in observance of National Police Week. The ceremony brought together 61 law enforcement officers, city officials, dignitaries, elected officials, and community members to honor and remember fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Mayor Lori Klein Quinn presented a proclamation recognizing the significance of Police Week, while Police Chief Jeff Bert reflected on the dedication and service of law enforcement officers and paid tribute to those lost over the past year. During the ceremony, each dignitary and elected official had the opportunity to read the name and a brief description of a fallen hero, creating a meaningful and personal tribute to their service and sacrifice. The program also featured the Tomball High School Honor Guard presenting the colors, a moving performance of β€œAmazing Grace” by Bill Drennen on the bagpipes, and concluded with Taps performed by Joaquin Esquivel. Special thanks to Every-Bellies for providing lunch for attendees following the ceremony.

The Tomball Police Department is proud to announce the addition of 17 AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) that will now be placed in patrol vehicles throughout our fleet. These life-saving devices will help our officers respond even more effectively to medical emergencies and provide critical care when every second counts.

This important investment in public safety was made possible through the generous support of the Tomball Regional Health Foundation through their grant funding.

We are incredibly thankful for community partnerships like this that allow us to continue enhancing the services we provide and strengthening the safety of our community. Together, we are making a difference and helping save lives.
