Only a little over a week to go until we're celebrating the USA's 250th birthday in Tomball! 🥳

We're inviting everyone to come out and join us for an exciting evening packed with patriotic fun on Saturday, July 4th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.!

We'll have live music by Willow Creek Junction, photo ops, patriotic programming and a 21-gun salute, contests, giveaways, a National Treasure watch party on-site, a huge fireworks show, and more! 🤩 AND the kids are going to love this year's kids' zone featuring face painting, inflatable obstacle courses and slip 'n slides, games, and bubble stations. 🫧

Bring your lawn chairs and make sure your friends know that you'll be in Tomball on Independence Day for a free, once-in-a-lifetime, family-friendly celebration! 🎆🎇

🥵 Have you noticed that it's a little warm outside? Well, thankfully the Tomball Community Center is nice and cool 😌 all summer long! We've got a full activity list for July, and all ages are welcome to join us for a variety of programs.

Also, we have a new and improved projector at the Comm Center, and we're super excited to host a FREE Family Movie Night on Friday, July 17, to break it in! We're keeping the movie a ✨mystery✨ for fun, but think pirates, mermaids, fairies, and a lot of adventure! We invite everyone to bring lawn chairs and blankets and join us. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the movie will begin at 6:30 p.m. We'll also have light refreshments available while supplies last. 🥤🍿 Please RSVP for this event by July 15 by calling, emailing, or stopping by in-person and letting us know you'll be there!

Our Tomball Depot Museum is ✨️ iconic ✨️ don't you think?!

🎆 Just a heads up, although we usually open the Depot Museum every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., we will not be opening it on Saturday, July 4th so that our volunteers can spend the holiday celebrating America's 250th Independence Day! 🇺🇸 🎇

BUT we will be open for free tours next week on Wednesday, July 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.! ☀️

FACT: The Theis Attaway Nature Center at 13509 Theis Lane was donated to the City of Tomball in honor of A. W. (Allie) Theis, one of the forefathers of the Theis family, by his wife Thelma Attaway Theis, and their children.

"Now, Mother gives this land so a piece of Tomball's past and a small part of God's wonders may be preserved. Daddy, a man with big hands and an even bigger heart, would be especially proud that here the legacy of good times among family and friends will continue. This land cherished by six generations of the Theis family now remains for all to enjoy." - The Children of A.W. "Allie" and Thelma Attaway Theis.

Tomball Farmers Market is hosting their annual Holiday Heroes Dunk Tank Fundraiser on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.!

The goal of this event is to help raise money for Tomball's Holiday Heroes program where local first responders take disadvantaged children shopping for Christmas. This program is 100% funded by contributions from community members and sponsors. To find out more about Tomball's Holiday Hero Program, visit tomballtx.gov/holidayheroes.

Registration for July’s Kids Club: Nature Explorers Day on July 10, 2026, is officially open at tomballtx.gov/704/Tomball-Kids-Club!

We're gearing up for a morning of adventure and learning with hands-on activities, interactive fun, and lots of fresh air as we take a close look into nature. Light bites and refreshments will be provided for all participating children.

Tomball Kids Club is a free program designed for children from 5 to 12 years old. Parents or guardians must be present for the entirety of the program.

Spots fill up fast, sign-ups will remain available until we have reached capacity!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Tomball Kids Club of 2026!

For Community Helpers Day we got to have so much fun learning about what goes into being a first responder and getting to see the ins and outs of their awesome vehicles!

We are super appreciative of Cisco's Salsa Company for sponsoring our lunch for June's Kids Club, those were some delicious burritos 🤤

Our next Tomball Kids Club will be all about nature exploration on Friday, July 10, at Juergens Park and registration opens this Friday at 10:00 a.m.!
