Reminder: The City of Tomball is currently observing Stage 2 Moderate Drought Contingency of our Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan.
During Stage 2, the City requires citizens and businesses within the City limits to implement conservation measures.
Irrigation restrictions:
• Only irrigate landscaped areas with hose-end sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on designated watering days.
Designated watering days:
• Even addresses (ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 ), water on Sundays and Thursdays.
• Odd addresses (ending in 1,3, 5, 7, or 9), water on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
Please note, you may irrigate landscaped areas at any time if it is by means of a hand-held hose, a faucet filled bucket or watering can of five (5) gallons or less, or drip irrigation system.
Prohibited practices:
• Do not use water to wash any vehicle except on designated watering days between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Please only wash vehicles on designated days with a hand-held bucket or hand-held hose equipped with a shutoff nozzle for quick rinses. You may continue to wash vehicles at any time on the immediate premises of a commercial car wash or service station.
• Do not use water to fill, refill, or add to any indoor or outdoor swimming pools except on designated watering days between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
• Do not operate ornamental fountains or ponds for aesthetic or scenic purposes unless they are equipped with a recirculation system, except where necessary to support aquatic life.
• Do not wash sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, tennis courts, or other hard-surfaced areas.
• Do not wash buildings or structures for purposes other than immediate fire protection.
• Do not use water for dust control or flushing gutters.
