Tuesday 10th August 1886,
it is 2 days later until the founding of the Phoenix Engine Company 1, and 7 days later until the formal founding of the Phoenix Fire Department.
Deputy US Marshall William Billy M. Breakenridge (yes, of Tombstone and Earps and Cowboys fame and who wrote the book, coining the word: Helldorado) was a founder of the Phoenix Fire Department, and is on the 1928-dedicated Founders' Plaque.

🚒❤️ When our community gives back, our firefighters grow stronger. We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation! 💪🏼🔥

On 8/12/26 fire department picked up a Stair Master machine to help with firefighter fitness and testing. 💪🏼🗒️

This is an incredible addition to the fire department and city. 🚒🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

It was able to be purchased thanks to an incredibly generous donation by Mr. Bob Love and the O.K. Corral. 🤠

The support is appreciated more than we can express. 🤠🚒

✅ Please don’t hesitate if you need sandbags for the monsoon season please come to the firehouse and fill bags.

✅ Sandpile is located on the north side of the firehouse.

✅ While filling sandbags please do not park that will block emergency vehicles from leaving the firehouse.
